Security Licence Renewal

Every three years, crowd control security licence holders must complete 2 crowd control units (as well as their Provide First Aid depending on when this was last completed) again, to ensure they remain up to date with the latest techniques and industry standards. This crowd control licence renewal course is currently only run in Cairns.

The 2 crowd control units are CPPSEC3101 Manage Conflict and Security Risks through Negotiation, and CPPSEC3121 Control Persons using Empty Hand Techniques. Security licence holders will receive the required completion dates for these units on their security licence renewal notice.

RAM Training Services runs this course as a 1-day face to face course, with pre-course work required. About

Once you have successfully completed your course, and your assessment has been deemed competent, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (certificate) to submit to the Office of Fair Trading, to renew your licence.

Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa.

Delivery Methods

RAM Training Services runs a 1-day face to face course for the 2 crowd control units, with pre-course work required to be completed prior to attendance. Provide First Aid (if required) is completed separately, and runs for an additional 1 day, with pre-course work required.

Price

The cost to complete the 2 crowd control units is AUD$295. If you are also required to complete the Provide First Aid unit, please refer to our Security Licence Renewal + Provide First Aid course page.

Refund Policy

Please note that deposits are non-refundable, and once the course is paid in full, no refund will be given for cancellations unless 5 business days’ notice is given (less a 20% administration fee). Should we need to postpone a course for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the course within the following two months. If however, this is not possible, or the rescheduled dates do not suit, participants will be entitled to a full refund.

Learning Outcomes

This course is made up of 2 Cert III units: CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation, and CPPSEC3121: Control persons using empty hand techniques. You will be required to complete some pre-course theory prior to attending the course. The face to face component takes you through the practical part of the course, as well as a review of the theory component. If you haven’t completed First Aid training in the last 12 months, you will need to re-do your CPR (HLTAID009). If you last completed your full Provide First Aid more than 3 years ago (or not at all), you will also need to re-do the HLTAID011 Provide first aid unit.

On successful completion of the course, you will then need to provide the Office of Fair Trading JP certified copies (or the originals in person) of your certificates before the due dates specified on your renewal notice.
