CPP20218 – Release 2
CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice
The CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice is an important qualification that reflects the role of individuals employed in the supervision and management of offenders and detainees, in the correctional services sector.Β It is a qualification that assists with career advancement, personal and professional development, and a more comprehensive understanding of correctional roles.
The general qualification covers the competencies allowing experienced staff to reflect advanced practice and greater team leadership roles.
RAM Training Services offers this qualification through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, whereby your existing skills and experience are recognised and mapped to the requirements of the training package, to achieve your certificate β rather than through the completion of assessments or exams.Β This process may look different for each individual applicant.
Those wishing to obtain this qualification through RAMβs RPL process, will already be employed in the supervision and management of offenders and detainees in the criminal justice system, or within immigration detention centres, wishing to further their career opportunities and gain recognition for the skills and experience they have gained.
Please see the Delivery Method tab for more information on the RPL process.
RAM offers the CSC40122 Certificate IV in Correctional Practice through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program.Β You will be required to gather sufficient documentation and evidence, that demonstrates that you have the necessary and relevant skills, knowledge and experience, in order to achieve this qualification.Β Some of this evidence may include:
