Delivery Methods

The TAESS00019 – Assessor Skill Set is delivered as a blended three-day virtual online workshop, with pre-course and post-course work. The post-course work includes answering some short-answer questions, case scenarios, and assessment tasks. You will need access to a computer with Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader and an internet connection.

In addition to the classroom component, you will have the following tools to assist:

Email support from a dedicated trainer
Recorded tutorials to guide you through the assessments
Private Facebook group for TAE students for additional support

Investing in an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00019) is a strategic move for any VET professional. Our transparent pricing for the TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set ensures you can plan your professional development without hidden costs.

You can pay your course off over 12 months, interest-free. All payment plans incur a $100AUD set-up fee. On set-up of the payment plan, there is a 20% non-refundable deposit required to confirm your spot in the course, with the remainder of the course fee paid back weekly over 12 months. Certificates cannot be issued until full payment has been received (payment plans can be paid off earlier).

Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy

Refunds & Cancellations

Cooling-Off Period: You have 7-days from the date of payment to cancel and receive a refund, minus a 20% non-refundable registration fee.
Eligibility: Refunds are only issued if no assessments have been submitted, hard copy materials are returned unedited, and the workshop (if applicable) is more than 7-days away.
Post-7 Days: No refunds are issued after the cooling-off period.
Payment Plans: These are binding contracts; the full course fee must be paid regardless of completion.

Workshop Rescheduling

If your course includes a workshop, the following fees apply for postponement:

Provider Postponement

If we must postpone a workshop, we will aim to reschedule within two months. If the new dates are unsuitable or rescheduling is not possible, you are entitled to a full refund.

Course Units

Once you have successfully completed this skill set, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the below units. Your Statement of Attainment can also be used to provide credit towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, should you wish to do so in the future. The TAESS00019 – Assessor Skill Set consists of the following units:

TAEASS413 Participate in assessment validation
TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs

Through these units, students will learn to perform competency-based assessment and participate in assessment validation effectively. These units provide credit and a clear pathway for those who eventually want to complete a full Certificate IV in training and assessment.

What resources will I need in order to complete this course?

Do you give deadline extensions?

Everyone is different. It will depend on what other commitments you have, e.g. work/study/family, your training experience, and your discipline with home studies. There is a small amount of pre-course work to do, prior to attending the classroom component, as well as some post-course work. You have up to 12 months to complete and submit your assessments. However, given the Skill Set is only three units of competency, most will finish in a much quicker timeframe.

Your journey through the TAE Assessor Skill Set is designed for flexibility, allowing you to balance your professional development with your existing work schedule without feeling rushed.

Our TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set is designed to be accessible, providing you with the knowledge required to meet VET system requirements from your own home or office. You will need a computer at home, with access to Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, the internet, and ideally a printer. You will also need to provide your Unique Student Identifier (USI) during the enrolment process.

While the 12-month allocation is typically plenty of time to complete these three units, we understand that life happens. If you face unavoidable delays, the following extension policy applies:

Duration: Extensions are granted one month at a time.
Availability: Extensions are not guaranteed and depend on current training package requirements and assessment material updates.
First Extension: Free of charge.
Subsequent Extensions: Incur a re-enrolment fee of $395-$595 AUD (depending on whether new physical materials are required).

Important Note: If training packages have been updated during your extension period, you may be required to re-complete certain assessment tasks using the latest materials to ensure compliance.
