RAM offers the TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set, as a course designed for individuals who are existing secondary school teachers, holding a Bachelor of Education degree or higher, who require VET-specific knowledge and skills. This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge for those delivering vocational education and training (VET) to learners in a school environment.

The TAESS00024 Skill Set is delivered as a 3-day Virtual Online workshop, with pre and post-course work. The post-course work includes answering some short answer questions, case scenarios, and assessment tasks. You will need access to a computer that has Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, and the internet.

In addition to the classroom component, you will have the following tools to assist you with completion:

email support from a dedicated trainer
recorded tutorials to guide you through the assessments
private Facebook group for TAE students for additional support

3-day Virtual Online workshop

Pay upfront: $1295. Credit card or internet banking

Payment Plans: Pay your course off over 6 months, interest-free. All payment plans incur a $100 set-up fee. On set-up of the payment plan, there is a 20% non-refundable deposit required to confirm your spot in the course, with the remainder of the course fee paid back fortnightly over 6 months. Certificates cannot be issued until full payment has been received (payment plans can be paid off earlier).

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable. Once the course is paid in full, no refund will be given for cancellations unless 5 business days’ notice, prior to the Workshop start date, is given (minus a 20% administration fee). Should we need to postpone a course for any reason, every effort will be made to reschedule the course within the following two months. If however, this is not possible, or the rescheduled dates do not suit, participants will be entitled to a full refund.

The TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set has 5 units of competency. These units of competency can be used as credit transfer towards the full TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Qualification, at a later date.

How long will it take me to complete the TAESS00024 Skill set?

The AQF advises what they believe is a good indication of how long different courses should take. These are called the Volume of Learning Indicators, and they suggest that a (full) Certificate 4 level qualification should take between 600 and 1200 hours.

In our experience, every person is different, and so the time it takes one person to complete is different to the next person. This largely depends on each person’s experience, dedication to their studies, and their other personal commitments.

Students will have up to 12 months to complete the TAESS0024 course with RAM, how long the skill set takes to complete will be down to the time and effort that each individual puts into their assessment tasks and activities. The skill set is only made up of 5 of the 12 units from the full TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

What tools and resources will I need?

To complete the TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement skill set, you’ll need include access to the internet, a computer/laptop with Microsoft Office, a printer, and a video recording device as simple as an iPhone.

Do you give submission deadline extensions?

While we are confident that our students will be able to submit all of their assessments for the TAESS00024 within the 12 month timeframe, and we provide extensive support to assist with this, there are occasions where our student’s personal circumstances may unavoidably cause delays for them. Due to regular updates to our assessment materials, as well as to training packages in general, if we are able to offer an extension, we are only able to extend due dates by 1 month at a time, should you need it. Please note, there is no guarantee that we will be able to offer an extension, but we are more than happy to do so where possible.

There is no fee charged for the first extension given. Any further extensions requested, will incur a re-enrolment fee of between $395 and $595, dependent on whether a complete new set of course materials is required. In some cases, this may mean you will need to re-do parts, or all, of your assessment tasks using the new materials.

We will check in with you regularly, once you have commenced, to make sure you’re progressing. And don’t forget to join (free) as many of our Live Q&A Webinars as you like – these are a great help to many of our students!

What are the entry requirements for the TAESS00024?

The TAESS00024 is for individuals who are existing scecondary school teachers who hold a bachelor of education degree or higher.

Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. This is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification. For example, to teach ‘business’ qualifications you will need a business qualification (to at least the level you wish to teach), along with several years of relevant experience working in business.
